Precision compounding
with a personal touch.
Pharmacy with purpose
The Apothecary started with a question Dr. Damonica Gorrell had been asking for years: what would pharmacy look like if it were built around the patient, not the prescription queue?
After more than two decades behind the counter, she had seen what was missing. Patients who needed someone to actually answer their questions. Providers searching for a compounding partner they could trust with sensitive protocols. Care that felt rushed when it should have felt considered.
So in Stafford, Texas, she opened a different kind of pharmacy: a 503A compounding facility small enough to know its patients by name, and rigorous enough to support clinics across the greater Houston area. Every prescription we touch passes through the same standard, prepared with precision, dispensed with care, and explained in plain language.

Provider partnershipsAbout The Apothecary & 503A Sterile Pharmacies
A 503A pharmacy, like The Apothecary, is a state-licensed compounding pharmacy that:
- • Prepares customized medications based on a patient-specific prescription from a licensed provider.
- • Operates under strict sterility and safety guidelines, following applicable USP standards (USP 795 for non-sterile preparations and USP 797 & 800 for sterile and hazardous compounding).
- • Uses high-quality, FDA-registered active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) to support purity and potency.
Unlike 503B outsourcing facilities, 503A pharmacies focus on individualized treatments dispensed to patients under the supervision of a licensed prescriber.
